DESCRIPTION:Mort Shuman (* 12. November 1936 in New York; † 3. November 1991 in London) war ein amerikanischer Sänger und Songwriter. Shumans erste Komposition war 1959 "Plain Jane" für Bobby Darin. Es folgte für Fabian "I'm A Man" und "Turn Me Loose". Erster großer Hit war das romantische "A Teenager in Love" für Dion and the Belmonts. Erste Top-Platzierung war für die Drifters 1960 "Save the Last Dance For Me". 1960 begann eine fast 5-jährige Partner-schaft Shumans mit Elvis. Insgesamt hat Shuman 19 Kompositionen (darunter "Viva Las Vegas", "Suspicion", "Little Sister" und "His Latest Flame") für Presley verfasst.
